A routing optimization technology based on neural networks in MANET

Abstract

DSR is one of the most important routing protocols in MANET. Because of the mobility of MANET, DSR routing is only one available route rather than an optimal situation, in this paper, Continuous Hopfield Neural Network is used to optimize the route to find an optimal or nearly-optimal route, which can improve the usability and survivability of MANET. The simulation results show that CHNN-DSR is more important than DSR in the measurement of throughput, end-to-end average delay and control overhead, have a clear advantage.
