Abstract

A route instrument for measuring small concentrations of gases which uses as the radiation source a semiconductor laser diode with an asymmetrical quantum-dimensional heterostructure is considered. Optoelectronic recirculation simultaneously at two optical wavelengths is achieved in the system, which enables the accuracy of route measurements of the concentration of gases to be achieved and also enables the length of the monitored route to be measured.
