Abstract

Servitization in electronics manufacture is focused on in this study, which aims at creating customer's total value by combining products and services. The concept of customers' total value proposed by Kameoka consists of products, provided services, and customers' operations based on their experiences. This concept is important for overcoming the commoditization of electronics products and indicates guidelines for new business in the Internet era. A case study which supports customers' value co-creation through data format definition in the Internet era is conducted in this study.
