Abstract

Consensus-based algorithm is widely used in secondary frequency and voltage control in islanded microgrids. However, most existing control strategies require communication network to be connected. The control performance considering communication failures has not been adequately studied owing to the lack of a robust secondary control strategy for communication failures This article proposed a robust secondary frequency and voltage control strategy, which is suitable for the emergency that communication links are disrupted. Simulation based on MATLAB/Simulink verifies its effectiveness. The communication performance of the proposed algorithm under typical communication topologies is further studied and analyzed, and several characteristics of typical communication failures are presented, as well as communication network design suggestions.
