Abstract
Born and raised in England, Bernard Banks immigrated to the United States in 1958. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in mathematics from California State University, San Diego. In 1975 he received his Ph.D. in mathematics from Oregon State University. His main interest is in the mathematical foundations of quantum theory. His hobbies include travel and ocean racing. Currently he is on the faculty of Cal Poly Pomona.
