Abstract

A rhabdovirus was found in some dwarfed plants of croton (Codiaeum variegatum) cv. Fred Sander. The plants showed malformations and yellow or pink veins. Bullet-shaped particles (70-80×180-240 nm) were observed in leaf-dip preparations and in ultrathin sections of diseased leaf tissue examined by electron microscopy.
