Abstract
ABSTRACTThis paper describes a nearly complete Clovis projectile point found near Chevelon Ruin, Arizona. The point was modified by s i de-notching. It is suggested that reworking was performed by subsequent Basketmaker Ill-Pueblo IV inhabitants of the Little Colorado Valley region and that the point was initially dropped by Clovis hunters around 11,000 years ago, not far from its place of discovery.
