Abstract

The integration in renewable energy into smart grid provides the continuous power supply and less carbon foot print. And also its improves the reliability and security of smart grid. This article describes the topic about smart grid self-healing based on Renewable energy sources. Self-healing is one of important phenomena of smart grid. It is defined as, when the fault occurs in smart grid it recover automatically without any manpower. Its improves the stability of smart grid and reduces the manpower. Smart grid is a digital power grid for secure integration as well as digital control of more generation system when loads are distributed among uniform or non-uniform pattern. The fundamental concept in a smart grid is to reduce the complication in Renewable Energy integration with more energy, minimize the power system losses, boosted power volume along with best load side management as well as sequence control of smart grid reliability. Smart grids having of four common characteristics such as Integration, Control, Communication and Metering. Smart grid integration consists in interlinking in several categories in power resources in alternating current or direct current grid through suitable power converters topologies. System output of renewable energy sources is based on weather situations such as speed of wind and intensity of solar light. Smart grid controls are consists of capability to absorb more power from power sources, work scheduling in power sources during overloads conditions, short circuit and fault control during abnormal conditions, control of active and reactive power etc. In efficient working of various smart grid, communication among control parts was required. smart grids communication level is commonly is set through set of protocols, and many of this consists of integration of reliable high speed communication networks to mater control system through various networks. Its avoids the various cyber security issues of smart grid. Smart metering system gives the more information of smart grids such as insistent time power used and its tariff value also measure various electrical system parameters etc. This article presents the survey about various approaches to renewable energy integration of smart grid and its Control, Communication and Metering aspects.
