Abstract

The pervasive and service-oriented nature of cloud computing has necessitated its adoption for development, deployment and servicing of Health Records Management solutions. However, these cloud-based systems suffer the same faith as its host, in the area of security, privacy and trust concerns amongst users. The dynamics of Electronic Health Records (EHR) management system makes Privacy preservation and Trust non-negotiable features of a presumably reliable cloud service. The reliability of the services rendered by such systems in the area of improving medical documentation and record keeping, reduce cost and staffing, improve medication management, efficient management in case of emergency or referral and so on, depends significantly on the aforesaid features.
