Abstract

Influenza A virus is a verry common virus around the world, where thousands of people will be infected every month. This is why it is important to have drugs that are responsible for curing influenza A virus. In this review, the article will mainly focus on the synthesis and the binding mechanisms of oseltamivir and amantadine hydrochloride with influenza A virus. Apart from they are both used in curing the infection of Influenza A virus, another similarity of these two drugs is they both have some problems in different aspect. For instance, oseltamivir phosphate has a really complex synthesizing process comparing to most of the drugs we can see in the market. The problem of amantadine hydrochloride is even bigger. It will cause several sever negative effects on the human body including damage on DNA and effects on mitotic cell cycle.
