A Review on Dimension Based Parking System

Abstract

Parking facilities and management of traffic is the key aspects of crowed cities. In recent times finding parking slots in metropolitan cities is always a crucial task. As number of private car users increases, gradually parking becomes harder in traditional parking system with the issues that deals with the traffic congestion, safety and narrow car parking facilities. This idea of smart parking becomes achievable due to the evolution of IoT. The IoT field has increases the productivity and reliability of infrastructure in urban areas by locating the empty place in parking lots as well as conveying such information to the car owners, many researchers in their various works elaborated significantly the problem of implementing reliable parking guidance and information systems. This study lists out the limitations of the existing parking system and provides research directions in smart parking system.
