Abstract

The Singapore Convention on Mediation seeks to facilitate the cross-border enforcement of international commercial settlement agreement reached through mediation. The Convention establishes a more efficient, harmonized settlement of commercial disputes through mediation that is acceptable to States with different legal, social and economic systems thus contributing to the development of harmonious international economic relations. This Note carries out a review of the salient provisions of the United Nations Convention on International Settlement Agreements Resulting from Mediation.
