Abstract

Primary care informatics is beginning to find its feet as a scientific discipline, as evidenced by the increasing number of scientific papers published on the topic over the last three years, particularly those trying to establish the features that distinguish primary care informatics from health informatics more broadly. This paper provides a review of over a hundred scientific papers relating to primary care informatics, and speculates on future directions for primary care informatics.
