Abstract

AbstractThe Internet was initially accustomed to transmitting packets of data between users and data sources using a specified IP address. The Internet of things (IoT) is the concept of everyday devices to the Internet and enabling them to send and receive data. IoT network optimization has several advantages, including better traffic control, operational reliability, energy saving, lower latency, higher throughput, and a quicker rate of scaling up or installing IoT services and devices. Resource-limited devices are connected in billions of units to form the IoT. Packet loss puts a strain on IoT networks. It is therefore essential to provide solutions to the various network-related challenges of the IoT, including routing, energy conservation, congestion, heterogeneity, scalability, reliability, and security to optimally utilize the available networks. This paper introduces a comprehensive investigation into the network optimization of IoT. A survey on the foremost necessary aspects through a variety of approaches regarding network improvement for IoT communication is presented.KeywordsAuthentication protocolAuthentication schemeLightweight authentication protocolAuthentication methodNetwork optimizationInternet of things (IoT)
