Abstract
Neoschoengastia colombiae, recently transferred to genus Colicus Brennan, is redescribed based on the lectotype selected from the composite cotype series of 2 species including C. downsi. Two additional species, erroneously referred to C. colombiae, are described as new. These are C. deopertus off Micronycteris megalotis, Peru and C. exhumatus, holotypc off Carollia perspicillata, Trinidad. Neoschoengastia dasyproctae is transferred to COLICUS, and C. downsi is recognized as a junior synonym of this species.
