Abstract

Androgenic alopecia (AGA) is a common type of hair loss. Studies have shown that this alopecia is associated with genetic factor. AGA is a genetic disease depending on hormone levels, multiple genes and environmental factors. Current researches of its pathogenic mechanism focus on androgen and androgen receptors. In addition, some susceptibility genes and single nucleotide polymorphisms are also confirmed related to AGA. Key words: Androgenic alopecia; Genetics; Gene; Single nucleotide polymorphism
