Abstract
Abstract : Many tests have been developed to measure team performance, but no test has emerged as the clear leader and few attempts have been made to compare existing tests. This review identified the existing computerized measures of small group cognitive performance and determined which had the greatest potential for low-to-medium fidelity, military-relevant research. More than 50 potential measures were identified, among which the following were considered most suitable: Tactical Navy Decision-Making System (TANDEM), Team Performance Assessment Technology (TPAT), Team Interactive Decision Exercise for Teams Incorporating Distributed Expertise (TIDE2), C3 (Command, Control & Communications) Interactive Task for Identifying Emerging Situations (NeoCITIES), Agent Enabled Decision Group Environment (AEDGE), Distributed Dynamic Decision Making (DDD), and Duo Wondrous Original Method Basic Awareness/Airmanship Test (DuoWOMBAT). The advantages and disadvantages of each are described, which should aid researchers to identify the test most appropriate to their experimental needs.
