Abstract

This paper briefly introduced Yuehchiu Fang's article “Perceptions of the Computer-Assisted Writing Program among EFL College Learners”. His report of Taiwan's EFL college students' views and uses of the computer writing program suggested certain effective uses of computer-assisted language learning (CALL) programs. This paper focused on the implications of Fang's findings for the use of a similar CALL program with university English students in China. The significance of Fang's research lies in two aspects: on the one hand, students can benefit from computer-assisted writing instruction. On the other hand, teachers can make writing instruction more effective with the new technologies.
