Abstract
The Research Working Group of the DGM Continuous Casting Committee has been involved in one to four research projects per year dealing with different aspects of the continuous casting of non-ferrous metals, like melt quality, ingot solidification, or process technology. The focus in these research subjects was on the non-ferrous metals Al and Cu. A review of the research projects carried out in the aforementioned subjects is given and exemplary results from chosen work are presented here.
