Abstract

AbstractA reversed two‐environment model which consists of a maximum mixedness environment followed by a complete segregation environment is proposed. The model may be used to explain the segregation effect which is enhanced by the viscosity increase during the reaction. Comparison between the predicted results and the experimental data for the polymerization of styrene in a stirred tank flow reactor is presented.
