Abstract

(Int J Obstet Anesth. 2023:54:103638) A recent study reported that as parturient comorbidity increased, there was an increasing likelihood of receiving general anesthesia (GA) compared with neuraxial anesthesia (NA) for cesarean delivery (CD). This study expands on that research, and the authors theorize that in addition to patient factors, there may be hospital-level factors that increase the likelihood of GA for CD in certain patients.
