Abstract
Cardiac patients with excessive BMI≥35 kg/m2 are independently associated with an increased risk of acute kidney injury (AKI) after cardiac surgery. This retrospective case study investigated the association of obesity with identifying the risk of acute kidney injury development after cardiac surgery in the intensive care unit.
