Abstract

From Fund Conf Corre 12 A 35-year-old white woman presented with a 4-week history of a pruritic and symmetrical rash on the upper aspect of the abdomen and torso, stretching to the axillae. The physical examination revealed multiple urticarial erythematous papules, vesicles, and excoriations that were associated with hyperpigmentation with a reticular pattern (Figs 1 and 2). The patient reported similar recurrent episodes in the previous 6 years, especially during the summer. She followed a sugar-free diet recommended by a homeopath, and she was otherwise healthy. The result of the biopsy specimen obtained from one of the active papules is shown in Fig 3.
