Abstract

The tricuspidatol-A, rel-2 R,2′ R-(4-hydroxyphenyl),3 R,3′ R-(3,5-dihydroxyphenyl) tetrahydrofuran, a new resveratrol dimer was isolated from the stemwood of Parthenocissus tricuspidata. Its structure was established on the basis of spectroscopic evidence and biosynthetic considerations.
