Abstract

This chapter discusses the resources of an open source lab. An open source software lab serve as a resource for selling the advantages of open source software to executives who want to understand what it is all about. It demonstrates the relevant products and practices, and their operation and features, for users and professionals who want to see the software before using it. It identifies internal systems and developing solutions for problem in an organization. It includes training professionals, developers, and system administrators who want to evaluate open source software, testing system operation, and lastly, to benchmarking capacity and performance. If the lab is used for training in a regular way, or for short-notice demonstrations, there will be a need to be reasonably permanent with the dedicated systems. Web Links is set of technologies and practices that are large enough and require people to learn from a - variety of resources.
