Abstract

The management of student apartments is an important part of the rear-service in universities. Under the trend of rear-service socialization reform, it is essential to control the inventory cost of the spare parts in student apartments. But the function of apartment management system at present mainly lies in simple recording and summarizing. Therefore, it is in need of corresponding inventory model to improve the intelligence of system and provide decision support for managers. This paper used the strategy of (s, S), took the minimum cost as the objective function, and established inventory management model based on stochastic demand and stochastic lead time. After that, it classified the spare parts into 4 categories according to the characteristics of demand and the degrees of importance, and established safety stock management system under the constraint of different service levels. Finally, a computational example was presented to illustrate the efficiency and applicability of the model, which can provide a reference value for the practical problems in the management of university apartment inventory.
