Abstract

The thermal management of lithium-ion battery modules for energy storage is of great significance to the safe operation of battery modules. In this paper, a thermal design method of lithium-ion battery modules is proposed to test the real-time heating power of lithium-ion batteries, and simulate the temperature field change during the charging and discharging process of the battery module through CFD simulation software. A 6kWh lithium-ion battery module is designed using the method. The maximum temperature difference between the simulation results and the test results of the module prototype is only 1°C, proving that the simulation method has high accuracy.
