Abstract

Women, for a long time, were in a position of caring for the home and raising children. Having as direction the research sought to analyze their role as researchers. We analyze its progress in the archival field, the basis for such analysis is the National Archives Congress (NCA) during the last eight editions. And for this research, we aimed atunderstandingand verifyingthe female representation in publications with regard to authorship, co-authorship and collaboration, in addition to the main themes in which they have been dedicated in the scientific field. The data were analyzed in a quali-quantitative, descriptive and explanatory way in crucial points of the tabulated data. In this way, we found an active participation, however, still in aprocess of growth compared to male authors.
