Abstract

The chipped stone assemblage from the site of Tell Iktanu is described below. The assemblage, of the Early Bronze IB, Intennediate Early Bronze/Middle Bronze and Iron Age II, is largely represented by a flake-based core technology used for the production of a variety of retouched flake tool types. Canaanean blades and tabular scrapers represent specialized aspects of the industry which exhibit distinct patterns clearly differentiating the Early Bronze and EB.MB samples in the assemblage.
