Abstract

A Report of Uncommon Sabellariid Polychaete Worm to Tropical Island Environment of Andaman Archipelago, Andaman Sea The present study focused on a detailed taxonomical work of the very old and rarely studied taxon Phragmatopoma. The intertidal region of Andaman Sea coastal environment studied for reef forming Sabellariidae worm and found out that a new species of reef forming sand castle worm Phragmatopoma ranganica, sp. nov. The species may be adapted in the tropical environment with their modified character and also it enlightens the probable climatic adaptation of a species.
