Abstract
AbstractMegaselia senegalensis n.sp. is described from six females collected in Sénégal. It is immediately distinguished from all other species of Megaselia by the enormous enlargement of the costal cilia in the distal half of the dorsal row and by the presence of a short ridge of modified setae on the posterior face of the hind tibiae.
