Abstract

A new species Carebara bokorensis Matsuura et Hosoishi, sp. n. is described from Kampot Province in Cambodia based on the major and minor worker caste. This new species belong to the pygmaea species group. This species is distinguished from congeners by the transverse striation on the vertex in major workers and presence of well-developed subpetiolar process in minor workers.
