Abstract

ABSTRACTExtensive preparation since 1975 has yielded thousands of specimens of various minute arthropods, mainly phosphatocopid ostracods and other crustaceans. The whole exoskeleton is exceedingly well preserved in three dimensions, showing even delicate mo1 phological details. The material permits not only the description of the morphology and systematic status of the animals but also interpretation, with a high degree of confidence, of the function, life habit, and ontogeny of these early arthropods.
