Abstract

We have pointed out that coherent Raman beats (CRB) in a three-level system with inhomogeneous broadening of optical transition do not suffer from power broadening and AC Stark shift due to the probe laser field if the sublevel coherence from which the CRB are stimulated is prepared over a sufficiently wide frequency range of the inhomogeneous broadening.
