Abstract

AbstractA series of trials from 1981–85 investigating the amount of damage caused by larvae of the turnip root fly Delia floralis (Fallen) to cultivars of Swedish turnip Brassica Napus (L.) of varying percentages of dry matter indicated that those of high dry matter were damaged less than low dry matter cultivars. Pupal numbers of turnip root fly gave good correlations with damage but there was no relationship between damage and cabbage root fly pupae.
