Abstract

A double Regge model is applied to hadron production processes with three final particles at high energy. Some important properties of double Regge graphs are noted which simplify the problem sufficiently for realistic calculations to be made. A preliminary comparison of the predictions of the model with the experimental distributions on the Dalitz plot for two CERN experiments at 8 GeV/c and at 7 and 12 GeV/c is favourable. The model makes in addition several clear predictions available to experimental tests, and is sufficiently general to form the basis of a systematic analysis of three-particle data.
