Abstract
A phenomenological analysis of np and p p charge exchange scattering at 8 GeV/ c is presented and a simple model is formulated to account for the data. This model is compared to one of KN → K ∗ N and it is speculated that the model could be used to describe the reaction pp → Δ ++n.
