Abstract

China's economy has seen a dramatic shift during the last ten years, marked by fast expansion and an increasing recognition of the need for ecological stability. We want to shed light on the approaches used by various areas to address economic development difficulties while maintaining ecological consciousness by analyzing 2009–2022. Using quantile regression modeling, this study delves into the complex interplay across financial expansion, resource usage, and ecological protection. Initial results point to a nuanced relationship between financial development and responsible use of resources; some regions succeeded in both, while others struggled. This research ultimately clarifies the several strategies that Chinese regions have employed to achieve sustainable socio-economic development within the complex structure of resource expansion. The results of this study shed light on the relationship between ecological protection and Chinese financial development.
