Abstract
AbstractThrough his description of two projects in two very different regions of China, architect Li Xiaodong demonstrates how a reflexive approach that is responsive to local conditions results in buildings with contrasting personalities: the Bridge School in Fujian Province being dynamic and the Liyuan Library in Huairou County, on the outskirts of Beijing, being tranquil.
