Abstract

A reflective display technique is described for the analysis of spectra recorded on Polaroid positive film. Using a compact helium neon gas laser as a light source, a mechanical scanning system permits high-resolution readout from the spectrum positive. The method is applicable to more general readout techniques, from high information density optical storage material, of both the positive or negative film type.
