Abstract

An alternative formulation of the spectral domain approach (SDA) method is presented for multilayered microstrip line Green's function derivation. The method relies on reflection factors rather than the transverse impedance used in the immittance approach. The inner products involved in the Galerkin procedure are pole-free. The analysis is validated by comparing the results with a specific example in the literature.
