Abstract

A new beam expander device to be used in a pulsed dye laser cavity is described. The system consists of a cylindrical mirror used off axis and a collimating lens. The power efficiency of this non optimized laser prototype was 10% and a spectral linewidth of 0.02 Å was attainable with the insertion of an intracavity etalon.
