Abstract

The paper presents an extension of the knowledge-base of the Tourist Guide with the rich information about Bulgarian cultural, historical and natural sites, available in the databases created under the BECC project. To accomplish this task, the architecture of Tourist Guide that was created as the reference architecture of Virtual-Physical Space (ViPS) is presented, and the restructuring process of the components in this architecture is described. In order to use the created databases in BECC project, we had to re-engineered them on the basis of standards for the presentation of cultural and historical sites such as UNESCO and CCO (Cataloging Cultural Objects).
