Abstract

This paper presents a proposal for designing a prescriptive exercise program of health care maintenance based on the experimental approach. The method of research was to measure and record an each subject's physical abilities and the heart rate on the constant load by the running on a treadmill on experiment I and II. This program was chosen for its public familiarity and the ease with which it can be learned. The evaluation index used in the experiment was obtained by measuring Sub-maximal Heart Rate (HRmax) and Relative Metabolic Rate (RMR) of young subjects. The results provide a formula for estimating heart rate based on RMR, and effectiveness of the formula was then verified.
