A reanalysis of the reported observation of the ΛΛ 4 H hypernucleus

Abstract

A re-analysis of the previously published data of hypernuclear experiment E906 shows that instead of the reported observation of the decay of ΛΛ 4 H hypernucleus, it is more probable that the decay of ΛΛ 7 He was observed. We also present evidence for coincident decay of 3 pairs of single hypernuclei, Λ 3 H with Λ 4 H and Λ 3 H with Λ 3 H and Λ 4 H with Λ 4 H and extract relative branching ratios for all observed production products. There is no evidence for other double or single lambda hypernuclei at the detection sensitivity of the experiment.
