Abstract

Electrophoresis 2013, 34, 1743-1748. DOI: 10.1002/elps.201200517 A novel real-time impedance chip for the detection of emulsion phase separation was proposed. Each impedance chip contains 8 pairs of indium-tin oxide microelectrode arrays for detecting 8 samples simultaneously. The impedance chip provides a parallel, continuous, and real-time detection. Results also show this impedance chip has higher detection sensitivity than conventional methods. In the future, this impedance chip system can be widely applied for determining emulsion stability to meet the needs of a large number of emulsion product developments.
