Abstract
Summary A computer aided system for medium voltage network operation (5, 20 and 30 kV) is being experimented with in the city of MARSEILLES - FRANCE. It has been built arond a date base representing the complete medium voltage network. This data-base combines the characteristics of a “management” base (owing to the volume of data to be stored and the importance of the links between them) with those of a “real time” base. The purpose of this paper is to present and comment on some of the problem encountered in the conception of such a data base and the solutions proposed to solve them.
