Her teaching and research focus on writing in academic disciplines and history, theory, and pedagogy in rhetoric and composition. As an associate professor of English at Brigham Young University, he teaches American and world literature and advanced composition. He is coediting two books—one on early Asian American authors and the other on depictions of Asia and Asian Americans in American fiction between 1865 and 1920.
