Abstract
In this paper, sin is seen as a violation of God's will or religious law. Therefore, this work is an analysis of the biblical interpretation of Luke chapter 5:17-26 in the context of economy ―paralysis‖ in Nigeria as ―Sin.‖ Sins of corruption, embezzlement, bribery, mismanagement of public funds have become cankerworms which permeate the Nigeria society. This shows that all aspects of life have been negatively affected. Since Jesus was concerned with individual's sin rather than their health, all the religious leaders should do likewise and to preach against corrupt leaders who are destroying the economy.
