Abstract

This paper proposes a structured rational approach to design of the operative part of computers, thus of the integrated circuits, which is a generalization of von Neumann's methodology. The methodology here presented can be used to design the operative part of a general purpose or a dedicated computers. We applied it to define the execution unit of the extended coprocessor named GAV, dedicated to the protected addressing of the complex data types.
